Extended Regenerative Grid Simulator

The IT7900E series combines a grid simulator and a four‑quadrant power amplifier in one highly flexible system. It is perfectly suited for testing grid‑connected applications such as PCS, energy storage systems, microgrids, BOBC (V2X), PHiL, and more. Thanks to cutting‑edge SiC technology, the IT7900E series can feed 100% of the absorbed energy back into the grid – significantly reducing operating and cooling costs. With its high power density, the series delivers up to 21 kVA and 350 VL‑N in just 3 U. Master‑slave parallel operation allows the system to scale effortlessly to over 1 MVA. Multiple operating modes – single‑phase, three‑phase, and reverse‑phase – provide maximum flexibility. In reverse‑phase mode, the output voltage can even reach up to 200% of the rated value. The powerful arbitrary waveform capability enables the simulation of a wide range of grid disturbances, making the IT7900E series an ideal solution for demanding test and research laboratories.
